Silverback Gorillas measure 1.20m to 1.82m in height. Gorillas have dark skin and black to brown-grey hair all over their body. Males acquire silver-gray saddles across their backs and upper thighs at sexual maturity, earning them the name silverback. This silver-gray area breaks up their overall dark coloration, creating an optical illusion of increased length and larger size.
Paragraph 3:habitat
Most of the Gorillaz live in the Vernon MountainsA bit more than half live in the Virunga Mountains, a range of extinct volcanoes that border the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Uganda. The remainder can be found in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Western lowland gorillas also have an appetite for termites and ants, they break open termite nests to eat the larvae.
Paragraph 4:diet
Silverback females mostly like to eat shoots, leaves, and plants. There are actually about 142 varieties of plants represented in the silverback's diet, including bamboo, celery, nettles, thistles, and succulent herbs. When they can get them, they also love to eat any wild berries they can find.

The miners kill the gorillas for meat. The silverback gorilla's only natural predator is the leopard. However, humans are the silverback gorilla's most significant predator. Humans hunt gorillas for meat and for trophies. Humans are the greatest threat to all gorillas.
