Well, hello there! Can i share a story?
I recently had a blast photographing some truly amazing young ladies, at Ottawa Valley Studios this past month. It was a an event setup to let young women have the opportunity to experience a professional photo session, and with the help of a Mickayla, 10 young women were invited to take part in B and R Photography and Design's International Women's Day portrait session.
We setup a variety of "sets" in the studio that day, so that we could give everyone a different look and feel to each of their portraits, but we loved them so much, that I think we shot each girl on each set!
All of the young ladies showed up with so much spirit and enthusiasm. It was very exciting, as we had Mickayla (the event co-ordinator) doing the live stream and Cassandra all set up to provide a little make over for all of them. Every one looked amazing, as well.
I want to share some words from Mickayla, who really spear headed this whole idea!
Why i wanted to do the women's day shoot
Well I'm passionate about a lot of things, but i love making women feel good about themselfs and showing them how beautiful they are. I dont know what i want my future job to be, but i know i want it to be something where i can help even more women and this just gave me the chance to see how much i love doing it!
How the day went
I think the day went fantastic!! I know the girls had fun and the pictures are looking amazing! Im really excited to maybe do another one for a different age group of women! Thanks again to B & R Photography and Design and Cassy Jones makeup for making this a day to remember for those young ladies!
I was glad to have been able to provide these young women with portraits they will soon not forget, as well as let them see just how beautiful they each are. This is an age where self image can take a toll and being able to offer them this experience has made me so happy. Now lets me share that excitement with you here. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
