UNDP Maldives Q4 Newsletter 2022

Hello from the Maldives

2022 has been a remarkable year of joint commitments. We wired partnerships to create lasting impact. Thank you for your continued friendship to UNDP in the Maldives.

Through a story being told today that speaks of gloom: of rising temperatures – from the deepening climate crisis; to a deficiency in access to the support, tools and resources that people need to survive, let alone prosper; of a fracture between a few and the rest of us that widens with each passing day.

And yet the work that we get to be a part of tells a very different kind of story. Our heroes are disruptors, dreamers, and the driven; the young people saving our planet; the women silently brokering justice and more than just a seat at the table; those brave enough to take on a changing world.

It’s time to push further and higher. So that barriers are broken, care is provided to people and the environment, and all is connected, well and thriving.

We ring in 2023 backed by the courage and conviction of our changemakers.

BEST WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR FROM TEAM UNDP MALDIVES!
