Here at River Springs Middle School of Technology and Innovation, we pride ourselves on musical excellence. But more important than musical excellence, we strive to create life-long music makers. An enjoyment of and ability to make music makes a student a more well-rounded human being. We are concentrated on the education of the whole child through the study of music.

Here at RSMS we offer four band classes.

Our Beginning Band is for students who have no musical experience. We will get you started here from scratch with everything you need to begin you life long journey with music. If you need to rent an instrument, please follow one of the links below to one of our three local music dealers and they can help you get set up!

Our Concert Band is our intermediate group for students with one or more years of musical training, either through Beginning Band here at RSMS or at another school. This group is focused on developing our technical and fundamental skills on our instruments and transitioning from "fun" to a more mature musical "enjoyment."

Our Wind Symphony is our top performing ensemble and is dedicated to performing concert band repertoire at the highest level. This is the class where we synthesize all of our skills from Beginning and Concert Band to create a sublime musical experience.

Our Jazz Band class dedicated to the study of America's truly original musical genre. We study a multitude of styles from Rock, to Swing, to Latin. We also begin to study improvisation, the defining factor of a true jazz education.

If you are new, welcome! And if you are already a student or parent of a student at River Springs Middle School of Technology and Innovation, welcome back!
