Royal Rebels & Horrible Headchoppers Upper school topic Summer 2022

Dosbarthiadau Mrs James, Mrs Wilkinson, Mrs Jones, Mrs O’Connor & Mr Morgan

As a school we have developed our own curriculum, enabling our learners to develop all four purposes of the curriculum – the starting point and aspiration for every child and young person in Wales. We have adopted a themed approach and pupils have the opportunity to voice what they would like to learn which we have linked to Welsh Government requirements; therefore making their learning more purposeful and most importantly more enjoyable!

Language, Literacy and Communication

Along with their weekly spelling and reading sessions, children this term will have the opportunity to write for different purposes. They will be writing for information, diary writing, letter writing and creating posters and leaflets. They will also experience drama sessions throughout this topic, exploring the life and work of William Shakespeare.
