You are enthusiastically invited to join us for our virtual MLK Celebration and Program on Monday, January 17 at 11am. The pandemic prevents us from gathering 1000+ strong in person, but this robust event allows us to celebrate Dr. King’s life together. It features an engaging panel discussion, student submissions and artist reflection. You can participate by going to the TSD YouTube channel or clicking the flyer below (pdf flyer also available for download here: 2022 MLK Celebration Flyer)

This past week we celebrated spirit week. Here are a few pictures from twins day!
Important Reminder for our students that take classes (Exams this week) at Troy High School.
Next week the high schools will be virtual all week due to mid term testing. There are 2 choices for your child….
1. Option 1: Your child stays home and takes their exam(s) virtually. Once the exam is complete, they may come to Smith and begin their day here. Please note your students 1st hour is from 7:02 – 9:20am. If they also take their 2nd hour at Troy High, their class period is from 9:13 – 10:55am. Please recognize that these class times are longer than a regularly scheduled day. If your student is late to Smith due to taking an exam, their attendance will not be marked against them.
2. Option 2: You may drop your student off at Smith between 7 and 7:15am and we will provide a location for your student to take their exam(s) here in our building. When your student is finished with their exam(s), they will go directly to their class.
Once your child is finished taking their exams next week, they do not need to attend their class(es) at Troy High until the new semester begins on Monday, January 24th. This means that your child will not need to come to Smith until the time of their first class in our building on those days. Otherwise your child may arrive at regular Smith arrival time, after 7:55am, and wait until their first class here begins.
