We did IT, over $17,000 Raised!

WOW, just WOW....we knew our community would show up but you all exceeded our expectations! We had 197 families give a total of $17,125.00. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support of The Big Give!

Let's continue the excitement and engagement Monday, March 6th, 6pm in the North Cafeteria at our PTO Meeting. We will be discussing: March teacher appreciation, Spring assembly (pie in face), Spring dance, May team days, freshman farewell, volunteer opportunities, etc. Join us and voice your opinions.

The hard part is over and now we can focus on "FUN", first up our March 17th assembly featuring Mrs. Dietz and Mr. Lingle bravely taking a pie in the face. More details to follow.

Our hearts are bursting, North Junior High community! Thank you so much for your generosity!

Let's celebrate our teachers with with a March Madness Teacher Appreciation Lunch on Tuesday March 14th at 11am

Thank you for supporting the MOD Pizza fundraiser! We raised $123.94 just by eating pizza!

Save the date for the next dinner out at Café Zupas on Wednesday, March 15.

PTO events

  • PTO Meeting at 6:00 on Monday, 3/6. (Meetings are generally held the first Monday of the month in the North cafeteria.)
  • Staff Appreciation Lunch on Tuesday, 3/14, 11am
  • Café Zupa's fundraiser on Wednesday, 3/15. North PTO gets 25% of all sales using the code FUNDRAISER25 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. for all in-person, online and app orders at the Broadway location.

Activity Highlights

  • Quiz Bowl- Congratulations to the North Jr. High Quiz Bowl Team who competed in the Washington Winter Classic on February 25th. Link Rice and Rachel Cooper both had exceptional performances, each winning two critical toss ups. Grady Nobel won Top Individual Scorer of the whole tournament. Overall, North went 6 and 3 and won 8th overall. Way to go, Quiz Bowl! Join us for practice on Wednesdays at 7th/8th grade lunch.
  • Library Events- Idaho Battle of the Books (IBOB) battles continue during first lunch. Current match-ups are The Bibliophiles vs. The Leap Froggers, and the Nerds of the Lost Cities vs. Your Shoe's Untied.
  • Wrestling- This weekend the Brave family had a total of 4 state placers and 2 state finalists in this year's State Wrestling Tournament. Congratulations to Ehler Htoo (2) for getting 6th, Ehler Say, Ben Miller, and Cantril Nielsen for getting 5th, Clare Waite for getting 2nd, and Ornella Kero for winning state at 152! Congratulations to our hard-nosed wrestlers that placed at state this weekend.

  • There's a QR Code outside the gym for students who missed the meeting to sign up for spring sports.
  • There's information and a QR Code on the Athletic Notice Board (outside the gym) for 8th and 9th grade boys interested in playing soccer.
