Amelia Earnart By- Avery Carman

Amelia Earhart was an amazing individual. Not only was she the first female to fly solo over the Atlantic Ocean, she was an author and wrote about all of these experiences. As an early child, Ameila was an adventurous girl. Some would even consider her a tomboy. She always had a passion for flying. Amelia set so many of the expectations for women higher. She inspired many woman at the time to try new things. She ran many campaigns and went on tours while alive. She always encouraged everyone to try new things and to not be scared. Amelia had a husband and a daughter. Amelia was known as "Lady Lindy" and was very popular with the press. Amelia's life abruptly ended on July 2, 1937. She disappeared mid-flight. Ever since, she has been remembered and honored as the first female to solo fly the Atlantic Ocean.

Amelia is known for many popular quotes; some we still use today. They include " Adventure is worthwhile in itself" " never interrupt someone doing what you said couldn't be done".
