There has been a lot of opinion around Paso Robles High School students whether they should go into hybrid learning or if they should stay in Distance learning. In my opinion I think that Hybrid learning is better and helps you more in your classes. Hybrid learning helps you communicate better with your teachers, allowing them to support you when you need help on your classwork or homework.
Students who have chosen distance learning over the new hybrid schedule have expressed it as an attempt to stay safe and prevent the spread of Covid-19. While making the decision they are also thinking about their classes and what’s going to make them easier. Some students aren't able to choose for themselves because their parents make the decision depending on how they're doing and what they believe is more beneficial for their child. Most of the parents think about their health and grade status before making a decision.
“Oftentimes, they wonder if they would have an opportunity to change their decision.” Based on the survey, “53.8 percent of students would not change their decision, 15.4 percent of students would change their decision, and 30.8 percent of students would think about it when the time comes up”. Guerrero stated “ I would not change my decision and I would stay in Distance learning.”
“ I feel that with all the cases right now and if we were in school I would have regretted my decision.” Sanchez said.
Some reasons why people want to change their decision is because they see that there's grades have been worse and people that want to stay with their same decision is because their grades have been better and believe it's their best option.
