Alliance for Women in Media SoCal's Speed Mentoring Event on Publishing - Saturday, November 19th from 9am to noon at the CBS Radford lot in Studio City

This event will focus on journalism, photo journalism, magazines, graphic novels, comic books, books, photography, and digital content

REGISTER

Modeled after the "speed dating" concept, participants will have five minutes with each mentor before moving on to the next short meeting.

This setting is ideal for students and young professionals, but does not exclude those already established who may be seeking a career change.

Mentees can learn about publishing, how these professionals got their start and how to hone important networking skills.

Introductions to the right mentor can provide invaluable career guidance and help to open doors.

Get face time with authors, reporters, filmmakers, Emmy-award winning producers and screenwriters for television dramas from organizations like Los Angeles Times, BOOM!, Black Château Enterprises, LA Parent Magazine, The Daily Beast, Documentary Magazine, Omnium Gatherum, 5Rainbow Productions, California Apparel News, Red Carpet Report TV, Mingle Media TV Network, Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, The Fat Chick Works Out, SheKnows Entertainment, Dance Network, Lightstorm Entertainment, The Ladd Company and more...

Tickets are $20 for AWM SoCal members and $40 for nonmembers. Students will receive a one-year AWM SoCal membership with their $40 ticket. Light breakfast will be served.
