Mr. Christopher waha named principal of chestnut hill elementary school

As Mrs. Tracy Renfro transitions to Principal of Adams Elementary School as of the 2023-24 school year, Mr. Christopher Waha will become Principal at Chestnut Hill Elementary School, effective July 1, 2023.

Mr. Waha brings to this position 9 years of service in public education, which includes elementary classroom teaching in addition to culture and climate leadership, school improvement, and coaching freshman athletics. Currently, Mr. Waha is a classroom teacher at Plymouth Elementary, where he teaches 4th grade, a position that he has held since he joined Plymouth Elementary in 2016.

As Principal at Chestnut Hill Elementary, Mr. Waha hopes to bring his passion for creating meaningful relationships with students and staff and continue to build a community with Chestnut Hill Elementary. Mr. Waha and his wife, Emily, reside in Midland with their three children. He would like to share this message with the MPS and Chestnut Hill communities:
