Jose Trevino (New York Yankees) and Jordan Romano (Toronto Blue Jays) were selected to the 2022 American League All-Star Team. ORU was the only collegiate program with two American League All-Stars.

Jose Trevino is in his sixth MLB season and second as the starting catcher for the New York Yankees. The former Golden Eagle standout was selected in the sixth round of the 2014 MLB Draft.

Jordan Romano is in his fifth season with the Toronto Blue Jays. Romano is currently the closer for the Blue Jays and set the team's all-time record for consecutive saves (26) back on April 11, 2022. In 2023, Romano became the first two-time MLB All-Star in ORU history. The former Golden Eagle standout was selected in the 10th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by Toronto.

Mike Moore was selected No. 1 overall by the Seattle Mariners in the 1981 MLB Draft. The former Golden Eagle star played for Seattle, Oakland and Detroit throughout his 14-year MLB career. In 1989, Moore became the first ORU player to be named an MLB All-Star.

Chi Chi Gonzalez was selected as the 23rd pick in the 2013 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers. In his six year career, Gonzalez has pitched for Texas, Colorado, Minnesota and Milwaukee.

Jeremy Hefner was selected by the San Diego Padres in the fifth round of the 2007 MLB Draft. On April 23, 2012, Hefner made his MLB debut with the New York Mets. The former ORU standout currently serves as the pitching coach for the Mets.
