"And since I, your Lord and Teacher. have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other's feet." - John 13:14

FAR AND WIDE

We are so blessed to have children all over the world! With Tai and Francis somewhere in Europe, Thokozani in Serbia, and many other children who have moved out of PV, we have to make time for lots of visits! We visited Wandile with the Potch Team and it was great to spend time with him. Thokozani is also back from Serbia for his holiday! He has already delivered a presentation on what it is like to study medicine in Serbia.

TEAM FROM THE USA

It was such a blessing having a team from the USA led by Uncle Nat this past July. They brought with them so many supplies for the children's medical needs, as well as stationery for the home school, and Bambanani crafts. They were such lovely people that we wished they would stay forever! They organised a fun-day at PV, and included other children's homes in the area. They treated us all to a Disney-themed dinner, played sports and music with the kids and went on many outreaches to homesteads. They also ministered to a couple of schools, where they delivered the gospel message and handed out Jesus Messiah books. There simply isn't space to list all that they helped with! We appreciate their servant heart and generosity in giving of their time and resources.

POTCH TEAM

Another blessing! It is always wonderful having this team come visit us. It was special seeing some familiar faces in there too. They gave much of their energy into building an outside gym for the older boys, and helping with some much- needed maintenance too. From pampering the house-moms to ministering to the Moms of children with disabilities, they did everything with their whole heart. They encouraged us so much as a team, and we feel so refreshed by their demonstrations of faith and joy during their time here.

The Van Der Hout family from the Netherlands were also with us for a short while! They were such a help with Bambanani, the home-school, and especially with mechanics as many of our vehicles were in need of a good service. We so appreciate this special family and their heart to help out where-ever they were needed.

KITTED OUT

Don't these guys look so professional in their new soccer kits? Many thanks to Hendrick in Germany for spoiling our boys so much! We are looking forward to many exciting soccer matches with other children's homes.

THE SKY IS THE LIMIT

Out of the blue (quite literally), Mercy Air Africa sent a helicopter to Pasture Valley for an outreach. There was loads of excitement as the kids had to wave flags to show the helicopter where to land. They made it possible to go visit Gogo Nde Centre, where we delivered some food and shared a short message. Mercy Air also brought the dentist to PV shortly after, and he was able to help over 40 children and staff in just one day! The work these guys do is truly incredible. Glory be to God for making it all possible.

AMITOFO FUN DAY

Some of the Pasture Valley Children were invited to attend a fun day at Amitofo Care Centre, where they could experience some of the Chinese culture and get to know some new people too. They had an absolute blast! It was a great opportunity for the kids to get out a little and get more exposure to life outside of Pasture Valley.

"PARENT" - TEACHER DAY

The home-school teachers hosted their first parent- teacher day this past quarter. Some of us staff and volunteers were able to stand in as "parents" for the children, whilst the teachers were given the opportunity to give feedback about the children. They had also set up some of their projects to show-off all the work they had covered this past term!

NEW ADVENTURES

Image is off to do her Missionary Discipleship Training through REACH, OM South Africa. We look forward to hearing what God does in her life! Lungile has also started her first job. She is working as a caretaker at Phumula Guesthouse. We are so proud of her.

GRADUATION DAY

We are so proud of Michael for persevering and graduating from STREEC. He is now a skilled professional at installing and maintaining various renewable energy systems. Especially Solar! He also received training on how to be an entrepreneur. God has brought him through so much, and we are so grateful for it all.

DINNER WITH THE BOYS

The boys staying at Nkanini invited Make and Babe over for dinner. They really pulled out all the stops and made sure the dinner was a success. They had decorated the house beforehand, and really put in so much effort. They are turning into wonderful young men.

PRAYER REQUESTS

  1. For all the PV children that are no longer at home and are making their own paths in the world. For God to guide them and protect them as they take on new adventures.
  2. For the country of eSwatini, for its leadership to make wise and righteous decisions.
  3. For the increasing rates of hunger and unemployment we are witnessing in the country.
  4. For the PV staff and volunteers, as they continue to serve so faithfully. That God would send the right people to help and serve at Pasture Valley.
