Looking back at 2022

The men's and women's swimming teams combined for 239 lifetime best swims during the 2021-22 season. During the METS Championships, the two teams combined for 80 season and personal bests.

2022 Men's Season Recap

The men's swimming team finished the 2021-22 season with a 4-1 dual-meet record. The Sea Gulls finished eighth in the MET Conference Championships scoring 297 points.

2021 Women's Season Recap

The women's swimming team finished the 2021-22 season with a 4-1 dual-meet record. The team finished seventh in the MET Conference Championships totaling 342 points.

Men's Swimmers to Watch

Matthew Arter: Arter finished the 2021-22 season with 568.05 points for the Sea Gulls. He finished with 14 first-place finishes in dual meets during the season. Arter finished the season strong recording six personal bests in the MET Conference Championships.

Chris Knorr: Knorr led the Salisbury men's swimming team with 578.40 points during the 2021-22 season. Knorr finished with seven first-place finishes in dual-meets during the season. During the MET Championships preliminary round, Knorr broke the Salisbury record in the 200 fly with a time of 1:56:36.

Women's Swimmers to Watch

Jordan DeGruchy: DeGruchy tallied 538.35 points to lead the Sea Gulls women's swimming team during the 2021-22 season. DeGruchy placed in the top-three 11 times during the season, including six first-place finishes. During the MET Conference Championships, she broke the 200 fly record in the preliminary round and then broke her own record again in the finals with a time of 2:12.97.

Kara Graybill: Graybill finished her freshman season second on the team with 537.65 points. She finished the season with 13 top-three finishes, including six first-place finishes during dual meets. She finished the season strong with seven personal best races in the final three meets.

"In year one, we set the tone for what we want to do as a program. Our METS Championship performance showed what our training the constant improvement all season and we are looking to continue to improve and prove this is a breakout year for the Salisbury University swim team."
