READY, SET, GO! MAGGIE BARTA

Besties

Mercy had their second track meet this weekend at Millard North High School. The Monarchs showed their strength and speed and made everyone proud.

On Your Marks

During this meet, only relays were ran. The chilly weather made it hard on the runners, but they persevered nonetheless. They ran hard and did the best they could.

Prom?

While the athletes are there to compete, they try to have fun whenever they can. Anytime they saw a camera they wasted no time striking a pose.

Sibling Love

The Monarchs’ coaches just happen to be siblings. You can hear them bickering throughout the day. However, the whole team agrees that they are some of the best coaches they’ve had.

When you think of track, your mind may go straight to running. However, there are many other events for the Monarchs. Three of our athletes set personal records and had the support of their friends, family, and coaches.

Go, Go, Go!

Our runners fought hard all day. They ran against some amazing schools and really held their own. All of the relays had our Monarchs in yellow and navy representing Mercy and made us proud.

Track is a team sport through and through. No matter what the weather was like or how the team was doing, everyone stayed and cheered on the Monarchs with everything they had.

We Love the Coaches

The Monarchs placed 7th overall. While the results were not the one they were hoping for, they did their best. They braved the harsh weather and tough opponents. The coaches helped the athletes throughout the day and everyone stayed in high spirits.
