What another fantastic week both in and out of school, with the added excitement of snow! I would just like to say a BIG thank you to everyone at home, those that have been accessing keyworker provision, children, parents, grandparents and everyone else that has been a rock through the ups and downs of this half term.
I appreciate that it has not been easy for many of you at home. It hasn't been easy for those juggling working from home, whilst having children at home. However, I would like to thank you for the many kind words, emails, phone calls and messages of support over the past few weeks.
Staff have tried to maintain some kind of 'normality' through this period and will continue to do so after half term.
We are here if you need any extra help and support. More importantly, take time over the next week to recharge yourselves, if possible. Find those five minutes for yourself.
Again, I would just like to reiterate, no matter what you have done, or achieved over this half term, everyone has done an amazing job in our eyes.

LETs localise
Fundraising on Lets localise
We also have two campaigns to raise funds to purchase books for the school library. Please do spread the links as far and wide as possible. If anyone works in a large industry/company - please feel free to send it to any of the people who might like to connect to local schools. We are keen to develop links with local business and continue to drive the community links.
Devices
If you are in need of a device, please do let us know. We have a few still available in school to lend out. Also, I have secured some Vodaphone Sim Cards with 30GB of data on, so if anyone requires further data support, please do let us know. We are here to help support in any way we can.
Whole school community art project
Thank you for your wellbeing hands so far. Parents/Grandparents/Any one in the wider community can also create a hand to be put up on our fence in school. You can complete one on white paper and we will place these as a background to the school rainbow. Please let as many people know about this and we look forward to receiving more hands. There will be a box outside of school through half term for you to place the hands in.
Covid
If you are self isolating or have tested positive and are in school with Key Worker Provision please contact us via the e-mail address: covid@galleyhillprimary.co.uk even if this is during half term - this is needed so that we can continue to track and trace over the holiday period.
Workshops for parents and carers
Vulnerable and Key Worker provision
This will resume after half term - Monday 22nd February 9am to 3:15pm, the same as it currently is. Wraparound care is also still available for those with a place in school.
Finally
Again, thank you for all your support this half term.
It has been amazing to see the wonderful work the children have produced.
It is now time for a well earned rest, away from screens, going for socially distanced walks and recharging those batteries.
As soon as any announcements are made to the wider opening of schools, we will let you know. These announcements are usually made in the daily briefings and school find out at the same time.
Thank you for continuing to work with us.
Have a happy, and safe, half term.
Mr McGeeney
