The world is not as it should be. We see this fact throughout the Bible. We see it the moment we walk out of our front doors. And all throughout creation we see and hear a cry out for hope: a hope that can only be found in Jesus and through a relationship with Him.
Now imagine a world wherein every pocket of society and in every corner of the world, there were Christians who were equipped and eager to share this message of hope readily. From the most remote, least inhabited places on Earth, to the bustling cities of New York and Hong Kong. In the marketplace, in boardrooms, in kitchens, and in accounting offices. No matter where you looked, there was a follower of Jesus ready to invite others into a relationship with Him. This vision is what we are praying for, working towards, and inviting others to join in on.
We are called both individually, and corporately, to engage with this work in unique, strategic, and purposeful ways. Some as engineers, others as nurses, and about a billion other ways that you can think of.
Our role as Cru is to be missionaries who strategically engage with the future leaders of communities, families, businesses, churches, and the rest of the world.
And where can many of these future leaders be found? The college campus! We want to introduce students to Jesus, equip them to follow Him for a lifetime, and send them out from campus into the world; to share the hope of the gospel and to live and love as Jesus did.
We simply say "Win, Build, and Send"
And the campus that I get to reach is Georgia Southern University!
The Georgia Southern students that I work with will go on to be the next generation of movers and shakers in the world. They will be (and already are) men and women who influence the lives of the people around them; as baristas at Starbucks, grocery store clerks, mothers, fathers, leaders in ministries, the list goes on.
My goal is to make sure that influence is one that pushes people towards Jesus. In love, in grace, in boldness, and in truth.
