We will be sharing these books together in class.
Next half term we will be continuing to develop our phonological awareness by:
N2 children will be focusing on embedding the skill of orally blending and segmenting words. - This is where children hear and say the individual sounds that make up each word.
Towards the end of the half term the N2 children will begin to be introduced to some phonemes and graphemes.
N1 children will continue to work through the 'Body Percussion' aspect of Phase 1 phonics.
Mathematics
In maths the children will be introduced to different 2D shapes, we will be describing them using both informal and mathematical language. There are many different shapes in our environment. What shapes can you see around you?
