Holiday party at Seaview Elementary

The last day of school before the winter break, the staff and students at Seaview Elementary kicked off their holiday party early with a dance with Santa and the elves!!

Local By-Election - School Trustee

The Local By-Election will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Elections and by-elections are conducted according to the rule and regulations set out in the Local Government Act which governs government elections throughout British Columbia.

Should a significant weather event occur, such as heavy snowfall, the Chief Election Officer will use his discretion to postpone the General Election Day by one week to Saturday, January 22, 2022. This decision will be made by 8:00 pm on January 14, 2022.

Education Committee Meeting

At the Education Committee Meeting Wednesday, January 5, 2022, Superintendent Saywell provided the committee with an Omicron update. Superintendent Saywell also provided rationale about a potential school name change for Coal Tyee Elementary. The committee also received updates about the International Student Education Department, the Career Technical Centre, Island ConnectED and Learning Alternatives programs. View the agenda here.
