Back Ground

From the large Ekhuruleni township, Tembisa, reputable as one of South Africa’s cradle of talent, emerged a unique sensation. The talents of actress, musician, conceptualizer and aspiring director, Nonhlanhla Dube embarks on a very rewarding journey.

Nhlanhla began her primary education at Ipontshe Primary school then preceded to Jiyana Secondary School where she also delve into Dramatic Arts as a study. 2007, subsequent to her

participation to a community project specializing in traditional arts called Happy Hearts, her career gained ground eventually pursuing her dream of being on stage like role model Mama Busi Mhlongo.

Under the attentive guidance of Clara Khumalo,founder of Thutuka Youth, Dube joined her training school in 2008.

Ubiziwe was her first production feature with Clara Khumalo, a production that was part of Soweto Arts Festival. Following successful outcomes of the production, Nonhlanhla was celebrated as the Best Actress from then entire production. Starring in another Clara Khumalo production June 16, she was again acclaimed with Best Actress and Best Vocalist, the production formulated its way to the Market Laboratory in Johannesburg.

Giving Back

Apart from focusing on her music career personally as an artist, she gives back to the community by grooming young upcoming artists giving them vocal training, writing and the music business as whole.

On a later stage of her affiliation with Born to bestars, her acting skills gradually blossomed, handing her endless opportunities under the Gifter Ngobeni organization. Ribasadi Under Construction Company by Gifter Ngobeni, which later associated with The State Theatre in 2010, granted her a position at the Mzanzi Fela Festival.

Achievements

Additionally awarding Dube with Best Actress 2013, for the production which prolonged for 5 years, resulting in her as a valuable asset in the organization. The 2014, Bloody Kraal, production by Bongano Benedict Masango secured Nhlanhla a feature.

Her progressive genius presented her a chance to associate with Mxolisi Masilela moreover working

on a showcase titled Kwamba Women’s Festival. Indodana, a dance production she was featured in by Kenneth Mphahlele, selected as Best 10 Productions in 2015 at the Grahamstown Arts Festival. A production that took part at the 2016 FNB Arts Fare, White Project featuring Dube as the leading role of Lady in White. She went on to work Quintana in a production called Amend.

CAREER MOVE

Nhlanhla recently dropped her virtual concert Titled "Nhlanhla Dube Live Virtual Performance" Lockdown( Edition) on YouTube which warmed South Africa hearts and trended all over the internet, specifically the cover song titled Senzeni by Dj Manzo ft Mthandazo Gatya everyone which he personally insisted Nhlanhla should be on the remix

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

2016, she was musically affiliated with Franco Prinsloo and worked on an exclusive stage project with Karima Lemmer, Mosioua.

2017 she worked on musical stage production called KIU, And also a stage production with Mxolisi Masilela called "These are not my shoes". Nhlanhla hopes to bless the masses with her vocal abilities, with the release of Khuleka, self titled that the industry makes way for a Queen, intending to bring music back to the people.

In 2018 she represented South Africans, in celebration of the South African and Chinese Diplomatic Relations, in China, Beijing. Having worked on plenty musical productions such as Ugabaleka with Cousins on Deck, undergoing project with Amapiano artists Mapentane, a single called Utshwala with Drum Pope and a voice over project for an award winning film called Letters of Hope.

Her single Amaphupho ft Soul Kulture received warmly and is in fact doing well and being played on popular radio stations namely Metro FM, Ukhozi FM and Radio 2000.

She is also featured in the latest Zulu Mkhathini latest album titled Spirit Of Ubuntu. Dube never ceases to present herself as a force to be reckoned with. Playing lead on the Golden Award-winning film NAF Makhanda 2019 Festival Show called Xova.

Nhlanhla has further escalated her career especially in a theatre where she bagged a role in Shaka Zulu with Thamanga production in 2021 playing Shaka Zulu's sister (Nomcoba) since then appeared at Newsroom Africa for a role and been nominated in the production and also been nominated as the best creative musical singer in theatre at the SACAA ( South African Creative Artistic Awards )

Nhlanhla Dube is currently hosting a radio show at Mbono radio called The Weekend

Amaphupho is now on 4 plus million streams on all digital platforms combined and also filled up the Fringe event hosted by the state theatre which is the biggest theatre in Africa

In April 2022 she performed an hour set with her live band on Fringe hosted by State Theatre at Opera Threatre which is the biggest Threatre in Africa.

while selling out shows in theatres May 2023 she was chosen to do a Busi Mhlongo Tribute where she was mentored by Simphiwe Dana , Music director Nhlanhla Dube and Mashack Mavuso Aka Javas from Yizo Yizo, The show was a success with grace of attendance of John Kani
