Fresh Lemon Cake topped with the most TASTEFUL lemon glaze

Hey there! I love to bake cakes. Hopefully you love cakes too!!! Today you can learn how to make my favorite Lemon Cake right from the scratch. I promise it’s very easy. Check out my step by step recipe. I can't wait to try a fluffy piece, so let’s start!

THE INGREDIENTS

  • 4 eggs
  • 250g flour
  • 150g sugar
  • 200g butter
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 pack of baking soda
  • a teaspoon of lemon zest
  • For the glaze: 300 g powdered sugar and 1 lemon

ALL SET? LET'S START!

STEP 1: Put the flour into a mixing bowl. | 250g flower
STEP 2: Add baking powder to the flour. | 1 pack of baking powder
STEP 3: Add a teaspoon of lemon zest.
STEP 4: Add butter. | 200g
STEP 5: Add sugar | 150 g
STEP 6: Mix the ingredients.
STEP 7: Add 4 eggs to the cake batter. Mix. | 4 eggs

Put the dough into a cake pan and bake it in the preheated for approx. 45 minutes.
After 30 minutes cover the cake with some aluminum foil. The cake won't turn too dark.
Meanwhile focus on the glaze: The picture shows the ingredients that are needed.
Put 300 g powdered sugar into a bowl.
Now add the juice of a medium - sized lemon. Stir.

Before we put the glaze on the cake, the cake needs to be taken out of the oven and cool down for 10 minutes.

Take a spoon and slowly pour the icing on the cake.
As soon as the glaze has set, you can enjoy a piece of lemon cake. I hope you will like it. I get hooked after just one bite.
