Now that you have your Winlink Express working, it's time to use available mode like Packet Radio to connect to an existing Winlink Gateway or connect to the Chat server and work with other Winlink stations on VHF. (145.22 or 144.44)
Step 1. Download the UZ7HO app . . http://uz7.ho.ua/modem_beta/soundmodem114.zip
Step 2. Download additional files needed (ptt-dll.zip) . . http://uz7.ho.ua/modem_beta/ptt-dll.zip and (easyterm) . . http://uz7.ho.ua/apps/easyterm49.zip
Step 3. Unzip (soundmodem114.zip) to (C:\UZ7HO1). Step 4. Unzip (ptt-dll.zip) to (C:\UZ7HO1) and Step 5. Unzip (easyterm49.zip) to (C:\EASYTERM).
Step 6. Run soundmodem at (C:\UZ7HO1\soundmodem) . SoundModem app will show up see below.
Step 7. Click on Settings > Devices. Choose the Output Device and Input Device using the dropdown list. In this example we are using the CM108 soundmodem. (USB PnP SoundDevice) Step 8. Flag to Enabled the KISS Server port 8100. Step 9. Click on Select PTT Port dropdown and select EXT. Step 10. Click Okay.
Step 11. Information Window will Pop Up and will ask Cannot open PTT device! Check the advanced settings? Click Yes .
Another window will Pop Up and you will now see the USB PnP SoundDevice available on the dropdown. * Attention * . . if ever you don't see the USB PnP SoundDevice on the dropdown, you will need a new version of the PTT-DLL file.

Step 12. Click on TEST Button, this will enable the PTT line and your Radio should momentarily go on Transmit.
