So, we embark on a worldwide endeavor to gather and preserve the many treasured moments, captured in photographs, of Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami. Our goal is to safeguard and honor his mission travels and many personal encounters. Many photos are simple, even plain. They, too, are valuable and should not be dismissed as not-all-that-great.
Recognizing the vulnerability of pre-digital photos to time and the elements, the monastery is reaching out to a wide network of well-wishers, devotees, and institutions touched by Gurudeva.
We are asking that digital copies be sent to us. These can be from film scans, prints or digital archives.
Do this: assemble the images you may have—stored in an old laptop, residing on a thumb drive, or sitting as prints in a box—scan them, and just drag and drop them in the Google Drive link below. If you cannot scan them, take a photo up close with your digital phone and send that. Or, if you prefer, you can mail the original prints or videos to:
Sadasivanathaswami • Kauai’s Hindu Monastery 107 Kaholalele Road, Kapaa, HI 96746
Each one of your contributions will become a precious addition to Gurudeva's visual narrative for seekers of the future to enjoy.
