Toyota Sports Performance Center ribbon-cutting Photos by Ricardo Carrasco III

Officials from Keck Medicine of USC joined representatives from the Los Angeles Kings and the Meyer Institute of Sport to hold a ribbon-cutting for the Toyota Sports Performance Center on Sept. 4 in El Segundo.

Jay Lieberman, chief of orthopaedic surgery at Keck Medicine of USC, joined Frank Petrigliano, chief of the USC Epstein Family Center for Sports Medicine, and Lara Morgan Oberle, a primary care and sports medicine physician, for the official opening of the facility.

Keck Medicine is the official orthopaedic medical partner of the Los Angeles Kings hockey team, with physicians from the USC Epstein Family Center for Sports Medicine at Keck Medicine of USC providing care for athletes from the LA Kings, youth sports teams and the surrounding communities.

The event included tours of the Toyota Sports Performance Center, which is located at 555 N. Nash St., El Segundo.

The facility will be open to the public to serve all ages, including adult and youth sports teams, as well as residents of El Segundo and the neighboring communities. Keck Medicine's clinical location will offer convenient, extended hours and provide urgent orthopaedic care.

“Our team is well-versed in advanced, minimally invasive surgical techniques to provide elite athletes and weekend warriors alike with personalized treatment plans for a wide variety of sports injuries,” Lieberman said.
