Welcome back to a new year everyone! We have already been very busy!
We are continuing our work with addition and subtraction and are getting to know number facts more confidently to help us count quickly and accurately!
We have started a new genre called stories from other cultures. Our first book that we are studying is Rainbow Bird. This week we were familiarising ourselves with the story and comparing settings in the story.
We also started a new mantle this week. We received a letter from a meerkat in the Kalahari Desert who was happy with his home as he though it was too hot! We had many questions that we wanted answered….
To help us with our new mission we needed to find out where the Kalahari Desert is. So we use pe google maps to help us locate it and then found it on our own maps.
