Featured Database: Project MUSE

The library offers many helpful online resources that students can take advantage of. One of those resources is Project MUSE. Project MUSE's mission is to "promote the creation and dissemination of essential humanities and social science resources through collaboration with libraries, publishers, and scholars worldwide. Forged from a partnership between a university press and a library, Project MUSE is a trusted part of the academic and scholarly community it serves."

Project MUSE has access to a plethora of open access books, journals, and digital humanities works. To see how to do a search on Project MUSE, watch the video below.

Upcoming Events in the NMC Library

From March 21 through April 21, the library will have Virtual Reality equipment available for use. The library is borrowing the equipment from the Indiana State Library, and staff will be trained to assist users as needed. A link to sign up to use the equipment will be posted soon on the library website. Walk-ins are welcome, but those with appointments will be given first priority. Appointments are for 30 minutes at a time and you are able to sign up for two consecutive appointments if you want more time. The VR equipment will be available during library hours and will be in room LRC 107.

The NMC Library will be partnering with CAB and Student Life to host a Game Night for students. The event will take place on March 31. Board games, an Atari console, and refreshments will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own games too.

Lastly, the NMC library will also be hosting a Game Night for staff and faculty from 4-6 pm on April 7th. The staff and faculty game night will have the same games available as the student Game Night. A sign-up link will be sent out to all employees and participants can also RSVP for an additional gathering at Courses afterward.
