I know you are worried about your tween. Being a tween is never easy- not a child, not an adult, middle school drama, friend drama, social media pressures and now this past year with Covid isolation has been especially brutal. They just want to fit in. They just want to feel good about themselves. More than anything as their parent you want and need them to understand how amazing they are, just the way they are. By booking a Who I Am session you will be giving them all of that, I promise. A photo shoot where they are the star! And then lots of positive feedback from all who love them- it is amazing.
The Who I Am Projects are special sessions offered to only tweens ages 10-13. The tween ages can often be forgotten, but it is such a special time. The goal is to help tweens look and feel great and have unshakable confidence in themselves as they enter and navigate middle school.
Here is an overview of how it works...
Option 1: We will schedule a photo shoot in your house. The pictures will definitely be taken in their room and maybe a few other places that are important to them.
Option 2: We will schedule a photo shoot at my studio in Wilbraham. I will ask you to have them bring items with them that are special and really represent who they are right now.
Before I arrive I will send you a survey of a few questions for them to fill out, so I can get to know them a little before I meet them. And shhh don't tell ... there will also be surveys for you and any other important people in their life to fill out as well.
I will then combine the pictures and the words from the questionnaires into a beautiful slideshow to share with all of you!
Finally we will come back together to share this slideshow and possibly a few tears. I will also print out and share the full questionnaires with all of you.
The After Party is DEFINITELY my favorite part of this whole project. We will come together again to watch the slideshow. There is so much to see and read we might need to watch it twice! I love everyone's reactions, especially if you were able to keep the secret. Never fail at least one person is in tears...and yes sometimes that is me!
I will also print out and hand your child all the questionnaires I received for them to keep.
My favorite way to display and honor all of this for your tween is in an album. I will bring examples of all of these products to the After Party so you can see them for yourself. Here are some sample pages:
All albums are thick lay flat pages. Each album will contain photos and quotes from the questionnaires. The larger albums are able to have many more pictures and quotes.

Wonderful! Let's book this session! We will need to find a day that works to do the photo shoot. Weekdays are the most flexible time for me- so look for in service days, conference days or vacation days where you might have an hour or so open for a shoot- even after school times are great too. I can squeeze a few weekend sessions in as well.
I require a $100 deposit. If you decide that the experience of the photo shoot, the questionnaires, and the slideshow is all your child needs to feel special and great, then no other financial commitment is needed. If you do choose to purchase items so you have keepsakes of the experience for her to see for years to come, then I will take the $100 deposit off your final order.
