The Ozobot Evo is the best of both worlds, combining the learning fun of both physical and digital coding.
Evo can be coded to do tricks, dances, races, and any number of activities by utilizing one of two systems:
Color-coded markers that Evo reads with its sensors
The Ozobot app and Ozoblockly, both of encourage critical thinking and problem-solving
The Ozobot Evo app works with almost any smart device and features built-in tricks, programs, and even lesson ideas (such as racing two Ozobots on a student-made track). The Ozobot Evo app allows users to control every aspect of their Ozobot, from lights to movements to sound. Users can even record their own voices!
Ozoblockly is the ultimate coding software for the Ozobot. Using drag and drop technology, students can choose from a wide variety of directions, speeds, noises and more, and arrange them in any order they want. Ozoblockly has a range of difficulties, as well, catering to users both inexperienced and advanced.
While Ozobots work great with their apps, they also have the unique ability of responding to code in the real world.
Each Ozobot reads four basic colors (black, red, blue, and green) differently, one color signaling for the Ozobot to stop, while another will tell it to speed up or turn.
This feature allows younger learners and those without the apps to still experience the wonders of coding and programming.
Ozobots work for a variety of ages and learning levels and cover vital components of the STEAM curriculum including coding, programming, engineering, art, and math.
Research shows that students learn best when they are exposed to both digital and physical play, and Ozobot offers both, encouraging ingenuity and critical-thinking on devices and in the real world (and helping students to understand how the two work together).
