BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, DJ RaQuest AKA Larry Sherrill II, started his musical journey in 1996, when he bought his first CD, Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt. It was at this moment that Larry Sherrill knew he wanted to be part of 'the industry’. To this day he still says it's the one purchase that changed his life.

He first became interested in the DJ scene in 1999 after watching shows like MTV Spring Break & Rap City The Basement. In 2000, aged 19, he bought his first set of turntables. at the age of 23, he was already being touted as one of charlotte’s, answer to DJ Jazzy Jeff. He did various warm up sets before the doors opened in bars & clubs hosting major names such as DJ Red Alert, DJ SNS, the late great Biz Markie and many more. in 2020, he achieved his big break when he won Charlotte DJ Battle Competition on a party rocking forum set that moved the crowd, which DJ RaQuest described as the greatest night of his life. it was after this point when he started getting gigs as the house DJ at SIP Charlotte & The Local Charlotte, while expanding to cities such as Charleston, SC at places like Trio & DECO.

After receiving several offers, DJ RaQuest joined Da Beast Radio, who helped distribute his first internet hour long Mix Show called “The All RaQuest Show” that airs every Monday at 9pm & Thursday at 5pm on their platform

Since 2017 has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft and training other DJ’s on the various ways to handle all the smalls details about DJing, the entire DJ scene should be expecting big things from DJ RaQuest in 2022.
