Culimancy Short film made by Nat Harrison, Jonathan schreiner, Lauren burke, Jarron wilkins, and sebastian Villacis

Story

A disorganized head chef (who dabbles in magic in his free time) works at an upper-class French restaurant. The chef arrives late to work on the worst possible day - A well-respected food critic is visiting for dinner! Out of desperation, the chef casts a spell on the ingredients when the manager isn't looking to enhance it. His nerves get in the way, however, and he accidentally gives the food life! Now there's a little food monster wreaking havoc in the kitchen, and the chef must catch it, cook it, and serve it to the critic before any more problems occur. (Spoiler: more problems will occur.)

Final Short

Early Character Sketches and Concept Work

Various thumbnails, sketches, and concept art of our characters. After deciding our theme of a restaurant and planning out key characters we made various designs centered around those ideas.

Environment and Color palette early sketches and process work

Here is early sketches and concept art used to design the environment as well as the color palette we used throughout the short made by Nat.

Final Character Concept Art

Here are the final art turnarounds and height chart of our characters in our short. Each member of the group got to make the final design of a character and we shared and discussed them thoroughly as a group. Nat made the Critic, Sebastian made the Chef, Jaron made the Monster, Jonathan made the Waitress, and Lauren made the Manager.
