Seniors Shane Berens and Maddie Keller participate in the lip sync battle held at the beginning of the assembly for the 2016 Homecoming candidates.
The battle was different this year, as the candidates did one giant lip sync battle instead of several individual battles.
Seniors Kohlton Meyers and Marie Reveles dance to "We're All In This Together" from "High School Musical" during the lip sync battle for the candidates.
"The candidates worked really hard on this dance," Reveles said. "It turned out really good. I would not have changed a thing on how we did the big group battle instead of the individual battles like we did last year."
Seniors Tanner Callis and Brianna Brin strike a pose during the lip sync battle.
"It was incredibly fun," Callis said. "It was especially great not only because of the song choice, but because of the people."
Senior Katie Brungardt participated in "straw blowing", a game where students blow a cotton ball across the gym with a straw.
"It hurt my knees so bad," Brungardt said. "I was even in sweatpants. But I bet it was really fun to watch, so I'm glad we played this."
The senior class won the tug-of-war games during the assembly, with the juniors coming in second, sophomores coming in third and freshmen coming last.
Seniors Dylan Scheibler and Adam O'Connor cheer on the seniors during the tug-of-war game.
Juniors Connor Winter, Kamree Markley and Autumn Hohmann play tug-of-war against the seniors during the assembly.
