Purpose: Review higher education research and best practices that support all aspects of the student life cycle. Explore and implement new ideas, initiatives, and interventions that foster innovation, support the student life cycle, and maximize the success of the college and community. Publish and present many of the great things we are doing at LSC-Tomball.
Framework: The Lone Star College-Tomball Student Life Cycle (Student Experience)
Structure: With the support of the Research and Innovation Council and Council Advisory Committees, the Research and Innovation Center is housed within the Office of Strategic Initiatives and the Center Organizational and Teaching Excellence at Lone Star College-Tomball. It's operated based upon works generated by four sub-groups: Research, Innovation, Operation, and Archivist Subcommittees.
Programming Model: The New Literacies (Innovation): Technological, Data, Human. The Cognitive Capacities (Research): Critical Thinking, Systems Thinking, Entrepreneurship, Cultural Agility.
