Bryncoch CiW Primary School may 27 2022 - Newsletter

Happy Together, Learning for Life

Dysgu Hapus, Dysgu Byw

Dear All / Annwyl Bawb,

Half Term

The school wishes a wonderful half term break next week! Enjoy the sunshine (hopefully!) and the festivities arranged for the Queen's Jubilee!

Please remember that Monday, 6th June is a replacement Bank Holiday for nearly all primary schools in NPT, and Tuesday, 7th June is an INSET Day. Pupils return to school on Wednesday, 8th June.

Online Safety

The school has been made aware of some difficulties that pupils experience online now and again. Whilst in an everchanging online landscape it is exceptionally challening to monitor all that our children do online, please take time to check in with your children about their online activity and remind them of how they can be 'safe' whilst online.

Many great resources are available online, these include NSPCC, Childnet, Internet Matters and Safer Internet.

If you are concerned about anything seen, posted, and delivered etc online, please contact relevant authorities, or contact school for advice.

Netball Festival

Netball Team - Cwmtawe Festival

A huge 'Well Done' to our Netball team, who braved dreadful conditions this week at the Cwmtawe School Netball Festival. Despite a tough start against eventual winners, Ysgol Castell Nedd, the girls played wonderfully well - winning two games, drawing two and losing three. As you can see by their smiley faces, they had a wonderful time... even if they were a little soggy!

September 2022

As Welsh Government relax the last of their Covid rules in healthcare settings, we in school continue to plan forward.

From September 2022, we will revert to the pre-Covid routine of playing on the yard before the school bell is rung at 08.50am. Staff will remain on yard duty from 08.40 - 08.50 to ensure children play safely. We ask that you use your discretion when dropping pupils off in the morning - clearly, it is advised that younger pupils are supervised by an adult until handover.

Inset Day - 2022/23

Advance notice - the first INSET Day of 2022/23 will be Monday, 5th September 2022. Pupils will begin their new school year on Tuesday, 6th September!

Tesco Community Scheme

Our Tesco Community Scheme campaign is still 'live' in Tesco stores across Neath. Please help us secure a grant of upto £1,500 by placing the blue tokens in the box!
