International Student Orientation and Immigration Check In are required for all international students attending the University in F-1 or J-1 visa status, including students who are transferring from another U.S educational institution or studying abroad from our overseas campuses.
Orientation is... A workshop designed to help international students familiarize themselves with Webster University, U.S. education system and American culture, and United States Immigration regulations pertaining to their immigration status.
Orientation is... Advice and support on important practical matters such as health insurance, employment, transportation, banking, cultural adjustment, getting connected with other students.
Orientation is... An amazing opportunity to meet and make friends with other new students from around the world.
Accompanying parents and spouses are welcome at orientation, although most activities are designed for specifically for students.

To support your success as a new student, we strongly encourage you to complete the first three Modules prior to arriving. The entire course must be completed within the first eight weeks of school.
Webster University provides airport pickup to new international students on the dates indicated below (based on staff availability and advanced request). We will confirm your arrival pickup by email after your request is processed.
Fall 1 Term Pickup Dates: Graduate students - Friday, August 16th, Undergraduate students - Wednesday, August 21st
Fall 2 Term: Thursday, October 17th
Spring 1 Term: Graduate students - Friday, January 3rd, Undergraduate students - Thursday, January 9th (Please note: Webster University is closed between December 24 and January 1st. Pickup service is not available during winter closure.)
Spring 2 Term: All students - contact the MCISA office directly
Summer Term: All students - contact the MCISA office directly
Lambert St. Louis International Airport is approximately 15 miles from campus. If staff are unavailable to assist with pickup, we can recommend alternate methods of travel from the airport to your destination. (Taxi service or shuttle bus transport is available to campus for approximately USD$45.) Please note: students traveling with children must provide an appropriate car seat in order to transport children in the University vehicle.
International Connection Leaders (ICLs) provide peer-to-peer connections for you during your first terms of enrollment, help you meet American students, coordinate social and cultural events to encourage you to get involved on campus, and provide regular opportunities to meetup with you to answer your questions and help you find your Webster squad!
