Start Up Edge (2nd to 4th November, 2018)- In an endeavor to promote entrepreneurship by nurturing, mentoring and facilitating startups, Sat Paul Mittal School in collaboration with AFS India & World Youth Council organized the Startup Challenge for Satyans of Classes IX to XII from 2nd to 4th November, 2018. The conference provided a platform to young Satyans to learn, grow and make a difference and enabled them to develop and ensure that they are able to apply skills to solve social problems.
Satyan Innovation Fest- Start Up Edge) (2nd to 4th May, 2019)- Participants are taken through a three day journey fighting for investments, taking decisions on marketing, operations, finance, etc. and ultimately trying to create the biggest startup in terms of valuation. It was the most engaging and interactive competition which kept participants on their toes with unexpected scenarios and gave them an opportunity to experience the world of startups as an insider.
Ms. Parminder Kaur, Facilitator of Sat Paul Mittal School attended the AFS Intercultural Exchange Program –Delhi (21st to 27th January, 2020)- The AFS intercultural Programs India organised the Regional Volunteer Exchange Program from 21st January to 27th January 2020, in the National Capital Delhi. Ms. Parminder Kaur, Facilitator of Sat Paul Mittal School attended the Regional Volunteer AFS Intercultural Program. Volunteers from Mumbai, Nasik and Gandhinagar were also a part in the exchange program. The participants were made to stay with the host families, which was totally a new experience. The basic purpose of this was to help participants understand the living system of different states. The participants were also shown various historical places in Delhi.
Cultural Exchange Program (21st May, 2020)- In May 2020, AFS organized a cultural exchange program for India in which Sat Paul Mittal School Ludhiana participated amongst twenty one other schools with zest and vigour. Piaa Khurana, Pavaki Nanda and Namya Joshi represented the school on this national platform. The AFS cultural exchange, a grand week long event, was one of its kind as it trained students in presenting their ideas virtually. Sat Paul Mittal School got the opportunity to present the culture of Punjab on 21st May which is celebrated as the World Cultural Day along with Suchitra Academy, Bangalore, All Saints College , Nainital and Srishti English Medium School , Anand.The students presented insight to the history, strategic geographical location of their city, dance forms, music, food and fashion trends that form the essence of their state. The Satyan team was applauded for its strategy, teamwork, determination and presentation skills. The team taught the audience some iconic steps of traditional dance, Bhangara, while dazzling in traditional Punjab salwars and parandis.
Ms. Puja Chopra, Career Counsellor, Sat Paul Mittal School conducted a webinar on 17th June, 2020 on Resume Building in collaboration with AFS India, YRC Nahan, Nuapada & Mahendragarh under the project ‘Strengthening NYKS and NSS’ for the Graduate and Post Graduate students.
Ms. Puja Chopra, Career Counsellor, Sat Paul Mittal School conducted a webinar on Social Skills on 6th July, 2020 in collaboration with AFS India, YRC Nahan, Nuapada, Mahendragarh, Russsia, Bangladesh and Kerala under the project ‘Strengthening NYKS and NSS’ for the Graduate and Post Graduate students in lieu of World Youth Skills Day. Empathy, Interpersonal Skills, Team Building skills and conflict resolution skills are the quintessential in today’s dynamic world. The vehemence and passion of the candidates to learn and imbibe a very important 21st century skillset was noteworthy.
Ms. Monica Joshi, IT Head, Sat Paul Mittal School conducted a webinar on Critical Thinking, Creativity and Imagination on 9th July, 2020 in collaboration with AFS India, YRC Nahan, Nuapada, Mahendragarh, Russia, Bangladesh and Kerala under the project ‘Strengthening NYKS and NSS’ for the Graduate and Post Graduate students in lieu of World Youth Skills Day.
Ms. Bhupinder Gogia, Principal, Sat Paul Mittal School conducted a webinar on ‘Being Productive during Covid 19’ on 20th July, 2020 in collaboration with AFS India, YRC Nahan, Nuapada, Mahendragarh, Russia, Bangladesh and Kerala under the project ‘Strengthening NYKS and NSS’ for the Graduate and Post Graduate students.
