Vision 20/20 Homestretch I thank my God every time I remember you... because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. - Philippians 1

In 2020, we will be celebrating 100 years as North Terrace Church of Christ. In November of 2016 we kicked off Vision 20/20, a celebration of the history of NTCOC and an initiative to set us up for the next 100 years. This initiative included a building expansion but is much more than that. We broke ground on the building in April 2018. The building project included six new classrooms to our kid's end so that we have more room to bring the next generation to Christ and train them up to be a part of His Kingdom. We updated the chapel, kid's lobby, expanded the hallway and designed new bathroom spaces for our Preschool and NT Kids. We also expanded and updated the audio and visual equipment in our worship center to create a better environment for people to hear the message of Christ. We expanded and updated our main lobby, Fireside Room and will be updating the adult bathrooms soon.

Vision 20/20 is not just about getting our building ready for the next 100 years. It's also about preparing our hearts and minds for the next 100 years and reaching out into the community and the world. In the last few years that has included mission trips to Haiti, Colombia, Jamaica, Tennessee and Montana; over 200 child sponsorships through Compassion International in Colombia; a Habitat for Humanity build in our parking lot; assistance on preparation, planning and construction of Kidzville 2 rebuild; 1000's of shoes donated through Soles for Souls; 1000's of items donated to Houston, Texas, after Hurricane Harvey; a new community outreach event that is helping families who have children with special needs, Respite Night; and nearing 200 baptisms.

As we enter the HOMESTRETCH of Vision 20/20, we are excited to announce ways to partner together:

  • If current Vision 20/20 giving continues on trend, we will begin 2020 with $580,000 remaining in debt, supported by a loan for this amount. If we can partner together in the final 13 months to give an additional boost to Vision 20/20, we will carry less debt into the future. For instance, an additional 10% in new or increased commitments means $110,000 less debt going forward.
  • If you are already a Vision 20/20 partner, "Thank you!" Please prayerfully consider an increased commitment during this 13 month homestretch using the commitment cards. Please turn these cards in on Nov. 18.
  • If you want to be a Vision 20/20 partner, "Thank you!" Welcome to the team! Please prayerfully consider your commitment for this 13 month homestretch using the commitment cards. Please turn these cards in on Nov. 18.
  • We are also taking a special kickstart offering on November 18. The first $10,000 of this offering will be matched by the North Terrace Missions Team and will be given to Nate and Whitney Hutchison, our missionaries in New Zealand, to help them as they launch a new church plant in Aukland, NZ.
