Who is Babanginy? My name is Michelle Lewis, a Whadjuk Noonga Boodja and Nyamal Martu woman who grew up on Elaap Wardandi Boodja. River, fresh water people. I currently sit on Wonnerua country in the Hunter Valley NSW, called there by the spirit of the land, Numagi.
Numagi, this land is healing and family place. It has a Retreat Centre which offers opportunity to walk the land and feel the magic of this place. Called in to be custodian until the next one is ready, the Numagi Dreaming Story has emerged, calling forth those ready to weave the wisdom of the ancients, with the consciousness of the new energies. Bringing together all those united by a vision of harmony and connected through a heart song.
These times call me to share this dreaming. To find the others of all colours. Those called by the Grandmothers to follow the rainbow and be the next leaders in a world of change.

Offering a Walk with Babanginy (skin name meaning lightning) I will offer my story of walking this way and offering acknowledgment to country, a welcome through the Numagi Dreaming and through fire and ochre ceremony, we will offer you a returning home to your ancestry to bring forth your song. The power of your story. To weave and unite.
As I share ceremony, I also teach and share why I was shown and taught to do it in the old ways. To pass on knowledge, but to invite in your wisdom through direct experience. To connect with the spirit of the land. The true teacher that is nature, and our own nature.
I will then invite your stories, questions, curiosity and allow the ancestors to guide us through what needs to be spoken into the space. To give voice to the voiceless. To sing up the Dreaming.
We will share food together in community way and then we will do a blessing of the Grandmothers ceremony. A very healing and transformation experience.
I’d also invite you to walk with me. To let the language of the plants and animals, our fellow family of the nature realms to guide us and offer their wisdom, healing and offerings.
We invite our fellow elders to also share over this weekend. With Saturday being mostly teaching, bush tucker and medicine along with the blessing. Sunday will be an immersive experience.
Inviting you to join us in ceremony to cleanse, clear and activate. Then to journey with the ochre, connect with country, our sense of home and offer a truly transformational experience with the ancestors and your ancestry to bring harmony, peace and acceptance.
Please join us for day one of the teachings and day two as a transformational experience, the weaving of the old and new ways, of traditional ceremony with the evolving consciousness of the emerging energetics. You can join us for either, or the full weekend experience.
Accommodation is available and we invite everyone to bring food for sharing, as in community way. Further details will be provided as the venue is confirmed and what accommodation is available, if you choose to stay with us.
