Knights of Columbus Flag Presentation by Mr. Michael Maples

I couldn't have been any prouder today to be a U.S. Veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus, 12906 St. Peter in Covington, while attending an early morning ceremony. As any normal bunch of children in any school yard, these children were really noisy. But when Principal Michael Kraus called the children to attention, they all came to order. Father Bru gave a warm morning welcome to all. Then, as their normal routine, the Rosary was prayed. The childrens' full attention was placed on the Rosary, bringing tears to my eyes. To see that many young people dedicated to God and our Country, was so heartwarming. Then came the ceremony, the donation of an American Flag to St. Peter School. It was really something to watch the children sitting quietly as the Grand Knight, Anthony Avallone, presented the Flag to Coach Mike Riecke. The Class Student Council were on hand to witness and assist with the raising of the flag. God Bless our children, God Bless our Strong, Faith Filled Young Future citizens.

The St. Peter Knights of Columbus presented a new flag to the Student Council during morning assembly. We are so grateful for their generosity. Our new, larger flag is more visible on our campus.
