Baylis Court School Newsletter Friday 29 April 2022

A reminder that School is closed on Monday for the Early May Bank Holiday, and on Tuesday for an INSET day.

We are looking forward to welcoming students back on Wednesday 4 May.

Artist Of The Week

Well done to Anchal Jit Y10.

Portraits and Patterns inspired by the work of Ian Macarthur.

A huge well done to all students and staff involved in High School Musical last night. Two wonderful shows were performed to a live audience and we had so much great feedback.

More to follow next week!

Book Review

‘The Explorer’ by Katherine Rundell

Plot: There are a few children flying to a place called Manaus and suddenly something happened to the pilot, which meant the plane crashed. Then there are children stranded in the jungle, but eventually they do survive and get out.

Characters: The main characters are:

  • Lila and Max (brother and sister)
  • Constantia
  • Fred

My favourite character is Lila because she is so caring to everyone.

Opinion: I love this book and my favourite part was the plane crash because I knew the adventure was beginning. I would recommend this book because it is adventurous and interesting.
