ROWLAND HALL ATHLETICS // FALL 2022

UPPER SCHOOL ATHLETICS

Fall 2022 brought with it another successful sports season for Winged Lion athletics. Three teams (girls tennis, boys golf, and boys cross country) earned region titles; all five programs qualified for postseason state competition, with one (girls soccer) capturing the state championship trophy; and two teams (girls tennis and boys golf) brought home second-place trophies in their state championship contests.

Congratulations to our outstanding staff of coaches—including Rich Francey, Susan Daynes, and Cory Levetan, girls tennis; Stacey Camacho and Brady Hansgen, boys golf; Colette Jepson-Smith, Annie Hawkins, and Bret Jepson, girls soccer; Mark Oftedal, Laura Johnson, and Jake Colangelo, cross country; and Kendra Tomsic, Kathy Howa, Lauren Carpenter, and Wendy Hare, volleyball—as well as to the 102 athletes who wore the green and white this fall. You represented yourselves and our school community with much heart and pride. Way to go, Winged Lions!
