Daniel Rockhill, Assistant Women's Tennis Coach at Concordia College, New York

The ITA Assistant Coach of the Year honors an assistant coach who has exhibited outstanding leadership in ways that contribute to on and off-court team performance.

Coach Daniel Rockhill has been an integral part of Concordia College, New York tennis for the past 22 years. Rockhill began took on the role of the women's assistant coach nine years ago and since has elevated the program. The Clippers finished their final season ranked No. 35 in the nation and No. 3 in the East Region. In addition to the team's success, Rockhill helped coach Ebba Rosberg to No. 11 in the country and ITA All-American status.

Rockhill's work is not confined to the court. He manages the social media presence for the Clippers, arranges alumni events for the team, and is always willing to offer advice to his student-athletes. Additionally, Coach Rockhill has served as the East Region Ranking Chair for the past three season -- an undertaking that is critical to the sport.

Outside of tennis, Rockhill works as a physical therapist and as such worked on the frontlines against Covid-19 this past year. Despite putting in 14, 15 hour shifts at the hospital, he would always make it to practice to coach his student-athletes.

A Note from Concordia, New York's Athletic Director Kathy Laoutaris

Dan has been an extraordinary role model and influence not only for our tennis student-athletes, but for all our student-athletes. He has been their biggest fan and supporter throughout his career. I am happy that he is finally getting the national notoriety he so rightly deserves. Congratulations and thank you for representing us so well.
