The 49ers Foundation hosted its second annual Golden Getaway and Celebrity Golf Tournament presented by Chevron for a weekend filled with football, fun, and philanthropy alongside 49ers celebrities! The memorable weekend-long festivities at beautiful Carmel Valley Ranch were highlighted by sponsor and individual commitments to the 49ers Foundation's mission to educate and empower Bay Area youth. Together we celebrated the impact of 49ers PREP presented by U.S. Bank and 49ers EDU presented by Chevron and raised an event-record, over $2,000,000, to support these programs and invest in the lives of nearly 100,000 Bay Area youth this year.

This incredible success would not have been possible without the weekend’s Charitable Champions, our presenting sponsor Chevron, corporate partners, loyal supporters, and outstanding vintners and local businesses.

Trey C. is a loyal, longtime 49ers fan from a couple thousand miles away in Arkansas. Trey was born the year the 49ers dynasty began (1982) and just can't think of a time in his life where he was not a huge 49ers fan. He also has a little Golden Cavapoo, Cali, who likes to watch every single 49ers game with him and has been a good luck charm as she sits in her 49ers dog bed. Trey and Cali also had seats during the 2020 season (bottom right)! Trey has a huge love of sports memorabilia and loves being able to support a great cause like the 49ers Foundation even more!

49ers EDU Presented by Chevron and SAP Partner to Provide Free STEAM Education Project Kits

"We are excited to bring this resource to educators at zero cost and see how they inspire STEAM learning in local classrooms throughout the Bay Area." - Jesse Lovejoy, 49ers EDU Director
"Through this program we aspire to create awareness of sustainable teaching materials and inspire youth to pursue careers in STEAM." - Dan Fleetwood, SAP VP of Global Partnerships

In partnership with SAP, 49ers EDU presented by Chevron announced the public availability of their new STEAM education project kit created in collaboration with RAFT (Resource Area for Teaching), a nonprofit providing educators with engaging hands-on learning resources and integral resource for Bay Area educators. 49ers EDU presented by Chevron leverages the game of football and Levi’s® Stadium as platforms to excite children about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) concepts, sparking and fueling an interest in these subjects with students at an early age. 49ers EDU is steadfast in its commitment to serving students, teachers, and families—especially those furthest from resource and opportunity—to ensure our community's future workforce will be prepared through high quality and fun STEAM education.

49ers PREP presented by U.S. Bank announced 10 high school football programs that they will sponsor as part of the NFL Foundation partnership with the nonprofit initiative True Impact Football. Through the sponsorship, these schools will have access to football coaching education, player development and fundraising resources. This partnership will address the growing challenges that under-resourced football programs face. Each high school football program selected will have the opportunity to include their local youth football programs (e.g., elementary teams, middle schools) to receive the same resources.

49ers PREP presented by U.S. Bank empowers Bay Area youth to lead healthy lifestyles by engaging in physical activity and nurturing the growth of student athletes on and off the playing field. The program provides free non-contact activities for both boys and girls as well as additional programs to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities. 49ers PREP’s principal objective is to promote a culture of teamwork by creating safe opportunities for children of all backgrounds and abilities to play, grow, and have fun at no cost.
