Your Academic Librarian and Learning Hub team

Your Academic Librarian is your direct link to Student & Library Services (S&LS)

Academic librarians have a liaison role with the Schools and endeavour to keep up-to-date with School developments and requirements in order to effectively plan resource allocation.

Academic Librarians work in partnership with you to ensure students and staff derive the maximum benefit of the Library's services and resources.

To maximise student learning, our Team can deliver bite size chunks of information literacy or learning skills teaching which can be embedded within your learning sessions to support either online or face-2-face teaching.

Subject LibGuides

For each discipline there’s a LibGuide pointing students to information sources that can be found using our search facility Discovery, and links to individual databases & collections.

Learning Hub

The Learning Hub is an inclusive service for all students where they can discuss strategies and resources to help them fulfil their potential.

There are a range of approaches for learning including drop-in, one-to-one tutorials, online support and workshops

We offer advice and support for staff and postgraduate researchers on making your research open access publishing and research data management.

Students will have a multitude of questions relating to their time at University which could include financial matters, mental health & wellbeing, disability, sport, accommodation and much more.
