Tutoring Services

Oconee Fall Line Technical College provides free tutoring and support to students who request assistance with their academic studies. Tutors can also help you access and use unfamiliar technology and online platforms. The Tutoring Centers in Dublin and Sandersville are located within the Library on those campuses.

You can also email one of the Tutoring Centers to set-up an appointment to meet with a tutor, or to arrange for a tutor to call you or create a teleconference with you to help you with your assignment.

Disability Services

Oconee Fall Line Technical College offers accommodations and services to assist students with disabilities in achieving their educational goals. Disability Services staff work with students and their instructors to assure appropriate accommodations are provided. It is the student’s responsibility to disclose (notify) and provide the appropriate documentation of his/her need to the Disability Services staff.

Special Populations

The Special Populations Office provides support and assistance to students in the following circumstances: low-income individuals; those preparing to enter nontraditional fields; single parents including single pregnant women; out-of-workforce individuals; individuals with disabilities; individuals with limited English proficiency; and homeless individuals. Support services include offering workshops, promoting networking opportunities, and connecting students to helpful resources or services in the community.

Non-Traditional Careers

When more than 75% of the workforce in a particular occupation is of one gender, that would be considered a “non-traditional” career choice for a member of the opposite gender. Examples at OFTC include female students who are enrolled in programs like commercial truck driving, automotive repair, or electronics, and male students who are enrolled in practical nursing, accounting, or cosmetology. These career opportunities break the mold of gender stereotypes and expand a student’s options of programs of study. Pursuing a non-traditional career can provide:

  • Broader job opportunities
  • Job security
  • Fulfilling work
  • More opportunities for advancement
  • Higher wages
  • Better benefits
  • Greater job satisfaction

Veterans Services

At OFTC, we are proud to have student Veterans, active military personnel, and dependents of service members enrolled at our college, and we truly appreciate their service to our nation.

The Veterans’ Connections Group (VCG) meets periodically to help connect our Veterans to useful resources and info and to encourage students and employees who are Veterans to connect with one another on campus.

OFTC’s Certifying Official to the Department of Veterans Affairs is located on South Campus, in Admissions, and can help you with VA forms or other issues unique to student Veterans transitioning into college.
