- Originally from Lawrence, Massachusetts
- His father was born and raised in Senegal
- In high school, Georges capped off his career as the greatest players in The Tilton School history, amassing a school-record 2,372 points
- Was considered one of the best players on the East Coast in HS, ending his prep career as a consensus national top-100 recruit; committed to Iowa State
- One of the most productive players in Iowa State history and was the first Iowa State player to reach four-straight NCAA tournaments
- Selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 50th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft
- On July 13, 2018, Niang signed a standard contract with the Utah Jazz
- Scored a career-high 21 points and shot 7-7 from the field against the Hornets on 2/22/21
- Has quickly become a fan favorite due to his outgoing personality and great sense of humor
- Signed a two year deal with the 76ers on August 3, 2021
2021-2022 Season
- Scored a season-high 21 points off the bench against Milwaukee on Nov. 9
- Averaging 13 points per game through Nov. 11 and has been one of the most efficient shooters on the team
