Proxima Harena "The Sands of Proxima Centauri B"

There is a new hope for a humanity that has been stricken with overpopulation, culminating in extreme over density of people creating a severe lack of food, water, and shelter, but with a new understanding of technology. Earth had already populated Mars, which began to face the same situation. In this event people were forced to look star ward, to a new place, Proxima Centauri b, the closest place to Earth within in a habitable zone. Located 4.24 light years away, Proxima Centauri b, known to the common person as "Nova Terra," Latin for "New Land," was humanity's chance to start anew.

Footsteps on the Sand Of "Nova Terra"

"Fresh land Welcomes Worn Souls"

As humans move to Nova Terra, people step off of large ships onto a soft, warm yellow sand. Children play as the adults begin to start their new life, finding water, farming, organizing housing, and building makeshift schools and hospitals. Not much vegetation as of yet, but an overwhelming hope moves through Nova Terra's new native people.

"Finding Steady Ground"

The people of Nova Terra began to develop societies, but, inevitably, much of Earth's history would be lost on Nova Terra. As the final of the original inhabitants, the last of the Earth folk, pass away on Nova Terra, the story of Earth was not but an old story told via word of mouth to children and what little journal entries survive of Nova Terra's first inhabitants.

"Not What it Used to Be"

With the history of Earth gone to the people of Nova Terra, the people of Nova Terra try to form their own rules of morality. Some conflict ensues, but overall, these societies tend to remain peaceful, yet separate. The strength of the people remains as a powerhouse, never slowing no matter what may interfere with their lightning-fast progression.

Fragments of Glass

"Calm Before the Storm"

As Nova Terra grows, Nova Terra reaches its own sort of renaissance, a religious awakening among the people swept through the land and new art and literature begin to thrive, but with this, governments form, governments meet, and governments fight. A rising society, met with trial and tribulation, then a grace period. But, disagreements begin to rise, and with disagreements comes tension, then arguments, then fights, then battles, and eventually the tension broke.

The only thing left to the Nova Terra folk, was war.

"W.M.D."

After a series of great wars, grandiose wars, wars beyond the comprehension. War fought with computer's and their A.I., with long, intense, stringent codes and algorithms. The people of Nova Terra couldn't even begin to understand why they lost everything, why the land was barren, or...

how to start again?

"Empty Fields"

The wars on Nova Terra devasted the land. Leaving the fields of green to be nothing but a dull light gray ash.

"A Grim Reflection"

The people of Nova Terra try to rebuild what has been destroyed, but the war took too much. As they attempt to rebuild, they can get to a steady life, but things will never be what they once were. To some, it would be an insult to compare what they have now to what they had before the war, no matter how much they try to capture their heyday.

Wind Blows the Ash of the Damned

"What Remains"

In the End, the rebuilding effort was futile. Nova Terra has crumbled, what little people survived can hardly move. Many buried beneath fields of ash as more, smaller wars break out.

"Steady Ground"

The lands are silent. No motion to be seen, no smell but smoke, acting as a moment of peace for what few people are left to live their final moments.

"Risen From Ash"

In the midst of the ash, children start to stand, indistinguishable from each other, no visible skin, as it's covered with a thin layer of black ash. They look upwards, the only feature showing that these figures are human are there shining brown eyes, reflecting what little light is around. As the weakened children begin to collapse one by one, the story of Nova Terra is lost to the sands of time.
