How to Write a Paragragh Step by Step
Step 1: Introduction

Have an opening statement or question that captures the reader's attention-called the "hook" Example: What do you think the world would be like if animals could talk back?
Have supporting sentences which link the "hook" to the thesis.

Thesis: states the purposes, is a roadmap for the paper, main idea, tells the reader what to expect from the rest of the paper, makes a claim, single sentence, etc.

Example: Many oppositions were held in the North and South, but the main one was the issue of slavery in World War II.

Supporting Details make the main idea STRONGER!!!

Sentence 1: Can be a fact, opinion, description, or example.

Sentence 2: Can be a fact, opinion, description, or example.

Sentence 3: Can be a fact, opinion, description, or example.

Essay Format can have multiple paragraphs. Therefore more condiments on your burger!
Concluding Sentence: pulls together or summarizes the main idea of the paragraph, usually in a single sentence.
The concluding sentence should restate the main idea that is expressed in the topic sentence.
Make sure that the concluding sentence does not introduce new content/subject that was not covered in the body.
