Melonie Wallace, with over two decades of comprehensive experience across management, education, and the digital deployment of learning management systems, stands at the helm of this initiative. Her expertise extends to federal programs, reinforcing her role as a pivotal figure in the educational landscape. As an accomplished author, Melonie is on the verge of publishing a new book on leadership alongside a children's book aimed at fostering digital citizenship. She currently lends her skills as a Technology Consultant within the department of Federal Programs at her school district.
Nationally recognized for her delivery of workshops, keynotes, and seminars to non-profit organizations and school districts, Melonie's presentations are rich with insights, drawing from her extensive background to inspire and engage her audience.
Melonie's academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Educational Technology, complemented by an additional 15 post-graduate hours in Instructional Technology.
Her dedication and leadership were formally recognized in 2024 when she received the prestigious state leadership award from the National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators (NAFEPA), a testament to her significant contributions to federal education programs.
An advocate for digital equity and diversity within edtech and the broader technology sphere, Melonie's interests span poverty, culture, disruption, education, business, technology, innovation, and leadership. Melonie has been active in numerous Civic Organizations including but not limited to: Women’ s Commission of Southwest La, Past President of McNeese State University Black Alumni Chapter, as well as a member of McNeese State University Alumni Association, NAACP, Kiwanis Club of North Lake Charles, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated

Melonie’s life is enriched by her over two decades-long marriage to Rev. Desmond Wallace. Together, they nurture their family including children: Darrius, Jeannie, Deseree’, Danyele and their cherished family pet, Dexter. This blend of professional achievements and personal joy underscores Melonie Wallace’s multifaceted life, embodying leadership, dedication, and the heart of educational advocacy
