Over this winter season, I have become an avid chai consumer. Most commonly found in teas and drinks, chai is an Indian tea that is sweet and saturated with spices. These chai cookies are immensely easy, and the perfect winter treat.
Next, spread out the following ingredients: two and three fourths cups all purpose flour, one teaspoon baking soda, half a teaspoon baking powder, one and a half teaspoons chai spice mix (Can be found at any grocery store or amazon), one cup butter softened, one and a half cups white granulated sugar, one large egg and three fourths teaspoon vanilla extract.
Once combined, begin to cream in your egg and vanilla extract, until it is a soft and smooth consistency.
Gradually add in the dry ingredient mixture, and mix until the mixture reaches a slightly firm, doughy texture, and then put this bowl aside.
Place your cookies about an inch a part, onto an ungreased baking pan and bake for eight to 10 minutes.
Once fully baked, let the cookies cool on a drying rack for ten minutes. To maintain freshness, store in a tight-knit container. Serve these with a chai drink or a fresh glass of milk, enjoy.
