World War I (Weapons) McBride and tahj

Flamethrowers

Flamethrowers were used by the German Army. This dangerous weapons had fear all over it, as it can incinerate others that come by its path. It was used in 1914 to 1915. The basic idea of this weapon was to spread fire by launching burning fuel. There is 2 flamethrowers used in WWI. The Kleinflammenwerfer and the Grossflammenwerfer. Flamethrowers are able to work by burning fuel. (such as coal).

Tanks

No individual was actually responsible for this development of tanks in World War 1. The design was made back in 18th century. Lancelot de Mole was the actual creator of this dangerous machine. Before tanks arrived to the World War I, a stalemate occured in the warfare. While trenches were made and others took defensive stands in trenches, Lancelot de Mole created the tank for the British so they can be able to break through anything that comes to its path. That is when trenches were then useless for others.

Machine Guns

This Bullet-Spraying machine could fire 400-600 bullets in one minute. It usually takes 4-6 men to control a machine gun. The machine gun was brought to this war in 1914. The downfall of this mechanism is that it can heat over and become hard to control. Hiram Maxim was the inventor of machine guns.

Chemical Warfare

Poison gas was used first by the french. Their was also other kind of gases, such as tear gas, chlorine gas, and mustard gas (Its a kind of gas that was used by Germany first. It makes a yellow cloud that blind other. It was one of the deadliest chemicals.)

Grenades

The grenades was one of the oldest weapons made. It was drawn back to the 15th century. The German Army had this destructive thing in mind. Germans were ahead of supplying Grenades. They had 70,000 hand grenades ready, as with 106,000 Rifle Grenades. (Its a Grenade- shooting weapon that shoots grenades in far range). There's also other types of Grenades. (Stick, cricket balls, egg bombs and rifle grenades). It was used to defend grenadiers.
